LETTER OF INVITATION

Upon request, the Secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to participate in the conference. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to assist participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa and does not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee.

 

VISAS

Participants from some countries will require a visa to enter USA. We suggest you confirm this with your travel agent before travel.

AIRPORTS

The Washington D.C. area is served by three different airports. Visitors and residents of the Washington D.C. area may use all of the airports depending on their specific travel needs.

• Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, commonly known as National Airport, is located in Arlington County, Virginia and is the closest and most convenient airport to the Conference Venue. The airport is accessible by Metro.

• Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in Chantilly, Virginia, approximately 28 miles from the Conference Venue and is about a 40 minute drive in non-rush hour traffic. Shuttles and taxis are available from the airport.

• Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is located south of Baltimore. The MARC and Amtrak train station is nearby offering train service to Union Station in Washington, D.C.

CLIMATE & CLOTHING

February in Washington is cold with average temperatures ranging from highs of 10C (50F) during the day, to lows of -1C (30F) at night. It is advised to bring warm clothing and outerwear.
